Bure Valley Path
Linking with the Marriott's Way at Aylsham is the Bure Valley Path, a nine mile footpath and cycle path running through to Hoveton and Wroxham.
Owned and managed by Broadland District Council, the path runs alongside the entire length of the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway.
The route takes walkers and cyclists through some beautiful countryside, with links to several picturesque villages too; Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall.
So whether you're hopping on and off the Bure Valley Railway or taking a longer trip, the Bure Valley Path is a great trail to discover. And with the Bittern Line train (Norwich to Sheringham) stopping at Hoveton and Wroxham it's easy to leave the car behind.

Surface improvement and infrastructure work
We are working with Broadland District Council to deliver a series of initiatives and improvements along the Bure Valley Path throughout autumn and winter 2021-2022. Funded through the Interreg France (Channel) England Programme EXPERIENCE project, sections of the route will be resurfaced, and a number of green infrastructure and access improvements will be made, aimed at enhancing the sustainable tourism of the area.
Visit the Tourism Experience website for regular updates on the works
Part of the wider project will include further infrastructure improvements, habitat creation and the waymarking of five new circular walks off the main Bure Valley Path. The location of the circular walks are Oxnead, Buxton, Coltishall, Belaugh and Hoveton. This part of the project is funded by the Greater Norwich Growth Board through the Infrastructure Investment Fund.
