How to get a Safe places card

Information on how to get a safe places card

To join the Safe places scheme you need to get a Safe places card. There are two ways to get a card:

It's not essential to have a card with you to get support from a Safe place. However it will make it much easier for someone there to help you.

If you think you might want to make use of a Safe place in the future, please look into getting a card.

What to do at a Safe place

If you are out and about and need some help, you need to find the nearest shop or other public place which has a Safe places sticker at the entrance.

You can find your nearest Safe place by using the Norfolk Safe place finder website.

Once you are inside, go to the nearest counter and show your Safe places card (if you have one with you) to a member of staff. They will ask what help you need. They can help if you want to make a phone call to someone or the emergency services. They can then wait with you, if needed, for your named person, police or an ambulance to arrive.
