End point assessment
The end point assessment is the show case of competency for the apprentice across all the knowledge, skills and behaviours. This will include:
Knowledge test
Multiple choice test online
Portfolio based Interview
The interview is 30-40 minutes carried out by an independent assessor. This will assess the understanding and learning shown in the portfolio.
Project presentation
A presentation on a project completed or a process improved to an independent assessor. The presentation should take 10-15 minutes, with a further 10-15 minutes for a question and answer session.
Duration
The duration of the Business Administrator apprenticeship will typically take between 12 and 18 months. The minimum duration on programme before an apprentice can take the end point assessment is 12 months. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure every apprentice is given 20% of their paid hours as time to learn.
Qualification
Apprentices may be required to take Functional Skills maths and English at Level 2 if they do not already hold the equivalent GCSE grade 4-9 or (old system A*-C).
Job role
The Business Administrator apprenticeship is for those whose role involves administrative duties, responsibility and working independently.
