Honours
Do you know someone who has done something exceptional, consistently made a difference to your community or simply been a good neighbour?
Nominating someone for an honour isn’t complicated.
The honours system recognises merit and service to the nation. There are several different types of award, each one recognising a different type of contribution and they are given to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference to their community.
The British Empire Medal was re-introduced in the Diamond Jubilee year and nominations are the same as for all other medals.
Anyone can put forward a nomination but only exceptional people are honoured.
If you would like a nomination pack, or if you would like further information on how to nominate, use the contact details below.
