How we set this year's budget

At its meeting on 20 February 2024, Norfolk County Council set a £527.7m net budget for 2024-25.

The decision means the county council's share of band D Council Tax bills will rise by £79.47 to £1,672.11.

The Council consulted on 2024-25 budget proposals from 20 October to 1 December 2023, with the findings from consultation being considered by county councillors as part of the evidence used to help make decisions about budget proposals.

The budget includes investment of £122m to meet cost and other pressures in services, including £59.3m in adult social care, £34.7m in children's services and £15.2m in community and environmental services. The budget will require the Council to make savings of £41.5m.
