Seatbelt safety

Our online seatbelt safety sessions teach pupils the key concepts of being an in-vehicle passenger.

We deliver these sessions in a quiz format.

The session works to build confidence, knowledge, understanding and resilience. It also builds a sense of independence and responsibility into journeys.

Our aims

Our aims are to enable children and young people to:

  • Build understanding and knowledge to empower positive in-vehicle passenger behaviours
  • Engage the necessary life skills needed to become safe and confident passengers
  • Support their active and independent travel choices

Course details

We deliver the sessions live, via Microsoft Teams. Sessions run for approximately 60 minutes.

We can deliver sessions to:

  • A single class
  • Multiple classes
  • Home education families

This online session is for key stage 2 (year 3 and year 4 pupils). It offers an introduction into the basic skills of being an in-vehicle passenger.

  • Wearing a seatbelt
  • Travelling safely
  • Using a car seat
  • How to protect ourselves and others

Cost

These sessions are free.

Norfolk County Council Public Health funds them.
