This project delivered a number of pedestrian and cycling improvements as part of the wider Prince of Wales Road/Rose Lane improvement scheme.

Works included:

• Footway widening
• Improved crossings
• Aesthetic enhancements
• Reduction in street clutter
• New paving and carriageway resurfacing
• A new segregated cycle lane; completing the cycle link from King Street and Prince of Wales Road through to Castle Meadow
• Updating of traffic signal equipment to improve co-ordination between junctions in the area.
