Black and white pictures
Babies can only focus 20-25 centimetres, or eight to ten inches, from their faces.
Young babies find it easier to see black and white shapes than colour. You can put some black and white images close to where your baby spends time when you are playing or changing their nappy. This helps the development of eyes. Only do this for a few minutes at a time, as it is tiring for babies eyes.
You can find images at baby.zorger.com, or have fun and make your own.
