Glasses for your foster child

You can claim expenses for the cost of your foster child's glasses. When buying their glasses, you are expected to take advantage of free NHS eye tests and optical vouchers to reduce the cost as far as possible.

To claim expenses for your foster child's glasses, you will need to:

• Get the costs approved in advance by your supervising social worker, and
• Submit your claim to your supervising social worker on the Children's Provider Portal (ContrOCC), making sure you include any related receipts.
