Volunteer
We will support you to look for volunteering opportunities.
Volunteering is a great way to:
- Get out of the house
- Try new things
- Build your confidence
- Gain skills
Gaining skills like communication, teamwork, and decision-making, can really help when you apply for a college or university course and a job.
Let your Life Beyond Care Personal Advisor know if you think you will struggle to pay for extra travel costs because you volunteer. We may be able to help you with these costs.

There are also other ways you can get involved in your local community:
- Join a Youth Advisory Board
- Join your Parish Council
- Join the Norfolk in Care Council
If you are at college or university you can join a student committee.
Volunteering can make you feel pretty good. You will make a positive difference to your local or wider community.
