Both Housing with Care and Independent Living schemes give you your own home, with your own front door. When you move in, you get peace of mind with on-site support and care available when you need it.
Housing with Care flats are only available to rent. Independent Living flats are available to rent or to buy.
All schemes have flats for individuals, and some have flats suitable for couples. Some schemes offer specialist accommodation for people living with dementia. These can be ideal for couples where one partner is the main carer.
Every flat has a living area, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom and your home is yours to furnish and decorate, so you can make it your own.
Friends and family can visit whenever you like, and some schemes have en-suite guest facilities where they can stay over. Pets are also welcome at some schemes.
Communal facilities
All schemes have communal gardens, a lounge area and a café where you can chat with friends and enjoy social events if you want to.
Some schemes have a shop, a hairdresser, a laundrette, a bar and mobility scooter storage.
Locations
The sites are located all over Norfolk, so you can stay in the district you currently live in or move to be nearer to family members. Find out more about our schemes and where they are located.
Care when you need it
For many residents and their families, knowing care is always available gives them peace of mind. At all our sites, if you need it, care is available 24 hours a day. This support is there for you in addition to the care you already receive.
Every tenant has a support plan. You are involved in writing your own plan and you can involve your family too if you want to. Our on-site care provider can help create your plan, or someone else can provide it for you.
Support can include:
- Managing your home
- Help with laundry, cleaning and shopping
- Personal care, including washing and dressing
- Help with managing and taking medication
- Help preparing meals
- Help to get in and out of bed safely
Sometimes people might need more support to remain independent. Schemes will consider how best to support people with higher care and support needs.
