Healthy Start scheme

Healthy Start is designed to help give children the best nutritional start in life by making healthy eating more affordable and providing the essential vitamins needed by mums and babies.

If you are pregnant or your child is under four-years-old, you may be eligible for help to buy certain types of milk and plain fresh, frozen and tinned fruit and vegetables.

If you're eligible, you'll be sent a Healthy Start card with money on it that you can use in most places that sell milk, infant formula, fruit and vegetables.

You can also use your card to collect free vitamins with your local pharmacy.
