Highways services fees and charges
Valid from the 1 April 2024, the fees and charges will come into effect. These fees relate to the Highways licences and permit applications .
Highway licences
- Skips on the highway - £52.73 for first 28 days and £52.73 renewal for every 28 days
- Deposit materials on the highway - £60.96 for first 28 days and £30.48 renewal for every subsequent 28 days
- Hoarding - £168.10 for first 28 days and £168.10 renewal for every subsequent 28 days
- Scaffolding over the highway - £168.10 for first 56 days and £168.10 renewal for every subsequent 56 days
- Opening notice (to inspect private works if not undertaken by Norfolk County Council) - £220.88
- Tables and chairs on public highway - Under review
- Banner over the highway - £50
- Oversail/structures over the highway - Under review
- Traffic counter licence - Under review
- Construction cellars under the highway - £382.40

Highway boundary

Please note: If both sides of a road or public right of way are required, the metreage quoted for will double. This is to account for the research required for both highway boundary lines that define the highway corridor.

- Travel Plans - Monitoring of regulatory plans - £645.40 per annum
- Undertake safety audit of potential schemes - £907.49 (plus VAT) for stage 1 and 2 audits. Particularly complex schemes and developments and stage 3, 4a and 4b audits will be quoted for on an individual basis
Passenger transport
- Replacement concessionary travel pass - £13

Road safety

Access to information
- Traffic Data which has been saved in the archive and current Norfolk Transport monitoring surveys funded from revenue - Free of charge
- Traffic Data which has a commercial value to the council. NB fee waived if for non-profit purposes (e.g. students, local councils, members of the public etc.) - Up to 75% of original survey cost

- S38 Street Lighting Inspections - per re-inspection required for any aborted "interim" or "final" inspections (see "Norfolk County Council Street Lighting Developer Specification") - £299.25
