Join Start for Life Parent and Carer Panel to help shape services for children under two

Norfolk County Council , 6 March 2023 00:00

Norfolk's children and young people alliance is looking for pregnant people and parents and carers of children under two to join their 'Start for Life' parent and carer panel to help shape the design of services that support families with young children.

Start for Life services are those that provide support to parents and carers from conception up to the age of two and include:

  • Midwifery services
  • Health Visiting provision
  • Parenting support services
  • Perinatal mental health
  • Infant feeding support

Sara Tough, chair of Norfolk's Children and Young People Alliance said: "We know that no one knows better than parents and carers what kind of support they need to help their children thrive.

"That's why we are committed to involving parents and carers in the design of services. We believe that by working together, we can create services that are responsive to the needs of families with young children, and that truly make a difference in their lives."

As a member of the Start for Life parent and carer panel, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Share your experiences and insights as a pregnant person or parent or carer of a child under two
  • Help shape the design of services that support families with young children
  • Connect with other parents and carers in your community

We are looking for parents and carers from diverse backgrounds and experiences to join our panel. Whether you are a new parent or a seasoned carer, we value your perspectives and insights.

If you want to find out more, sign up for one of the three information sessions being held online in March:
