Short Breaks strategy

Our Short Breaks strategy sets out the plan to improve the commissioning approach to Short Breaks over the next three years. It supports our wider strategic ambitions that are found within:

• Flourish - our ambition for children and young people in Norfolk
• Norfolk Area SEND and Alternative Provision strategy (NASPAS)

The Short Breaks strategy will be implemented over the three-year period.

Short Breaks consultation

In summer 2023, we consulted on our draft Short Breaks strategy with families who already receive Short Breaks or may receive them in the future.  Families were invited to give feedback via an online survey, face to-face drop in events and an online event.

The consultation ran for five weeks from 27 June to 2 August.

Thank you to everyone who took part - your feedback helped shape our Short Breaks strategy. The strategy was agreed by the County Council's Cabinet in January 2024.
