Children's Services Sufficiency Strategy
Norfolk Children's Services plays a significant role in improving the lives of children and families in Norfolk. We have a range of statutory duties, one of which requires taking strategic action for children we look after and ensure they are provided with sufficient accommodation to meet their needs and to promote cooperation with relevant partners.
An important mechanism of improving outcomes for children and in having sufficient accommodation is to take earlier preventive action. Our strategy sets out a series of sustainable interventions that are designed to create loving and caring environments where children and young people feel valued, supported and encouraged to reach their potential. Whilst the interventions will vary from short breaks, fostering to corporate parenting our belief will be our guiding star to hold us accountable and raise the standard of sufficiency care throughout Norfolk.
