Clubs and activities

There are a vast range of youth groups, clubs and activities across the county. We've selected a few for you to browse below, from sports and circus skills to museums and wellbeing. 

These groups are independent of the local authority. It's your responsibility to assess if they are suitable for you and your child.

  • Soccer Skill Centre - Norwich City CSF Soccer Skill Centres are weekly coaching sessions for children who love to play football regularly
  • Norfolk Hoopstars - Basketball daytime sessions, every Thursday during term time
  • Marina Centre - offers swimming and climbing sessions, plus other facilities
  • Home Education High Altitude - This session is specifically for anyone who home schools their children
  • Highball Norwich - Instructor led bouldering or roped climbing sessions for groups of 4-6 
  • Sportspark - Offers youth memberships as well as a range of sports activities
  • Norfolk Museums: Kick the Dust - Provides young people aged 13-25 with opportunities to get involved with museums and heritage in both museum and library settings, from finding work experience to taking part in creative workshops
  • Home Education Drillaz Circus School - Home education classes with a Drillaz Circus School focus. For those who want to continue or start their Drillaz training in the home education environment
  • Norfolk Young Farmers - Norfolk Young Farmers has clubs all over Norfolk with many exciting events taking place each month
  • Scouts - Preparing young people with skills for life, with clubs for all ages from 4 to 25
  • Girlguiding - Guides groups for ages 10-14
  • YMCA - Youth projects across Norfolk
  • Eastern Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) - Karate for all ages and levels
  • Social FIELD Club - A youth club for young people with ASD and other related social difficulties
  • Breckland Leisure Centre and Waterworld - Offers activities designed to get children active while having fun
  • Great Yarmouth Sea Cadets - Learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of yourself
  • Royal Air Force Cadets - Cadets have many opportunities including UK and overseas camps, leadership courses, air experience flights and pilot training
  • Norfolk Deaf Children's Society - The Society is parent led and is run purely on a voluntary basis. They aim to support all deaf children, young deaf people and their families in overcoming the challenges of childhood deafness

  • Fen Zen - Activities include Mother's Fire Circles, events and nature education groups
  • The Garage Norwich - Dance, drama and music courses for all ages and abilities, can provide GCSE qualifications
  • Swan Project - Supporting young people and families with a variety of needs in Downham Market
  • The Bread Kitchen: Home Education - Child-led sessions on including gardening, animal care, craft activities
