Grants for international recruits
Individual grants
The Care Workers' Charity is working in partnership with International Recruitment East. The role of the charity is to administer the award of grants to internationally recruited care workers (IRs) who need to secure alternative employment in a new adult social care organisation. This will be due to the license revocation of their most recent employer.
They can award individual grants to IRs for support in two specific areas:
- Visa fee reimbursement - Basic visa fee £284
- Work expense grants: individual grants awarded to support with costs directly related to work expenses or finding new employment. For example, a bike, clothing, travel costs, childcare costs etc. A maximum grant of £500 is available.
If you're employing or supporting international recruits affected by license revocations, let them know that there is financial support to help them. The application process is straightforward, and there is lots on information available to help with applying.
You can find the application form and more information at the Care Workers' Charity website or email the grants team at grants@thecwc.org.uk.
