Two new special schools for Norfolk children with SEND get the go ahead
Two new Norfolk special schools have moved a step closer after two trusts were selected to lead the schools.
The schools, part of Norfolk County Council's multi million pound Local First Inclusion programme, will create a total of 270 new school places.
The Department for Education has appointed Eastern Learning Alliance to manage the school in Downham Market, and Unity Schools Partnership to lead the school in Great Yarmouth

Special school for communication and interaction needs
One special school will be in Downham Market, West Norfolk. There will be 100 places for children and young people aged five to 19-years-old, who have communication and interaction needs.

Special school for complex needs
A second special school will be built in Great Yarmouth. There will be 170 places for children and young people aged three to 19-years-old, who have complex needs.
