South Park Avenue

This project aims to improve journey times for bus services along this busy route and access to Eaton Park for those travelling on foot or by bike.

Details of work

• Widening South Park Avenue between Colman Road and Pettus Road to allow buses to pass each other without slowing down or stopping
• A new zebra crossing to improve facilities for pedestrians near Eaton Park
• Carriageway resurfacing

Background

Following public consultation Members of the Transport for Norwich Joint Committee considered these proposals, along with the consultation responses at their meeting on 23 March 2021 and approved the scheme for construction.
