Electoral boundaries

There are 84 divisional boundaries for local government in Norfolk.  

What is changing

Following the announcement that the Norfolk County Council election has been postponed, changes to the electoral boundaries will take effect from the next full County Council election. This is to provide better electoral equity. This means that councillors represent a similar number of electors in each division.

Population changes over time can cause certain areas to be over or underrepresented.

The boundary changes will not affect:

• Parliamentary constituencies
• Postcodes
• Local taxes
