Local cycling and walking infrastructure plans
We have created Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs) for Norfolk.
The purpose of the LCWIPs is to support Norfolk to increase the levels of:
- Cycling
- Walking
- Wheeling (using a wheelchair or mobility aid)
This will help to create a modern, well-connected transport network. It gives people more alternatives to travelling by car.
Our LCWIPs will play an important part in the delivery of our transport strategy for Norfolk.
They will also support the Government's ambition:
"Cycling and walking to be the natural first choice for many journeys with half of all journeys in towns and cities being cycled or walked by 2030".
