Training and development
There is a major focus on training and development in restorative approaches in Norfolk. To support this we:
- Organise tutor-led training
- Provide awareness-raising presentations to groups around the county
- Support teams and schools to access training
Who is training for?
Restorative approaches training is suitable for everyone who wants to:
- Develop non-confrontational, compassionate communication skills
- Strengthen their relationship-based practice
- Learn new responses to challenging behaviour and conflict
For example, those working with children, young people and/or their parents or carers in any setting. This could include but is not limited to all staff working in schools, foster carers, social care staff, youth workers, volunteers and their managers.
What training is available?
All our training meets recognised international standards and follows the UK's Restorative Justice Council's principles of best practice. We can provide bespoke training and offer:
- Short introductory training sessions
- One or two-day courses
- Full three-day Restorative Justice Conference Facilitation training

Restorative approaches e-learning
An e-learning module has been designed to give you an understanding of what restorative approaches is and how it is used in different settings. The module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and includes an assessment at the end.
