Restorative approaches for looked after young people and care leavers

We are working to reduce criminalisation of looked after young people and care leavers.

Norfolk's local multi-agency protocol has the golden thread of restorative practice running throughout. This reflects the principles and ambition set in the national protocol on reducing criminalisation of looked after children and care leavers (opens new window) on GOV.UK.

It ensures that our looked-after children and care leavers up to the age of 25-years-old, receive a consistent approach that seeks to reduce unnecessary criminalisation.
