To book a taxi test with us you must pay the £60 cost before we can arrange a test date.

You can pay the £60 fee for your taxi test:
- Online via the road safety driver and rider payments portal
- By telephone. Call our customer services team on 01603 306785.
What you must provide for the taxi test
To take the taxi test you must have:
- A medical check, including an eyesight test. You will have to pay your doctor for this. These check-ups are not free under current NHS regulations.
- A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Request a basic DBS check on the GOV.UK website.
- A current full car driving licence
- Paid for the issue of a taxi licence
On the day of your test you must provide evidence that your vehicle is road legal:
- Proof of insurance
- MOT
- Your original driving license
If you fail to provide these original documents, we may cancel your test. You must pay the £60 fee again to rebook the test.
Referrals for remedy training
We offer remedy training. This offers extra driving support.
