Business support officer (BSO)
Business Support Officers (BSOs) work in the locality offices and at County Hall. There is a BSO for each locality, 2 who work across the whole service and 1 at Grays Fair Court.
All the BSOs are office based, work mainly using a computer and provide administrative support to the teams.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as a point of contact for Support Workers, Managers and Reablement Practitioners for paperwork and queries
- Keeping records of and booking training for the Reablement Support Workers
- Ensuring that paperwork and PPE are available for Support Workers
- Maintaining electronic records using software programmes
- Filing and archiving paperwork for service users and staff
- Minuting meetings
About you
What you'll need:
- Good customer service skills
- Good telephone manner and communication skills
- Flexibility in working hours
- The ability to prove good IT skills and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to remain calm during high-pressure times
