Health Improvement Transformation Group

As part of our Public Health Strategic Plan, we are committed to leading the Health Improvement Transformation Group (HITG). The group is part of the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) governance structure.

Its main role is to lead cross-system strategy on adult healthy lifestyles and behavioural change (primary prevention). The aim is to improve both physical and mental health and wellbeing for the local population.

HITG works with partners across the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System, including:

  • Norfolk and Suffolk Public Health
  • Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board
  • District Local Authorities
  • Active Norfolk
  • The University of East Anglia
  • Voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation representatives

The group is chaired by our Director of Public Health, Stuart Lines and meets on a quarterly basis. There is also a Health Improvement Transformation Core Group that meets monthly to drive forward the work of the main group.
