Living and working in Norfolk
Welcome to Norfolk
Norfolk is home to more than 90 miles of unspoilt coastline and the unique Broads National Park. Thriving communities live and work in busy market towns, seaside resorts, and in the city of Norwich, UNESCO's first City of Literature.
Norfolk is the driest and sunniest county in England. It's also one of the biggest. Norwich has an international airport with flights to Schiphol, Amsterdam, and then onwards to the rest of the word. Direct train lines to London from Norwich and King's Lynn take 1 hour 50 minutes, and you can get to Cambridge from Norwich in under an hour. There's nowhere better to achieve the perfect balance between work and life for you and your family.
Our economy is growing. Sectors including agriculture, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, tourism and science are big business. We have ambitious plans for new housing and a building programme for schools across Norfolk.
Norfolk is an incredibly welcoming place, with faith groups for all religions and specialist food shops for every nationality. Our county is a great place to live, work, study, visit and relocate, and an excellent location for businesses to start, grow and innovate.
